چکیده
From the Departments of General Surgery, *Ankara Diskapi Education and Research Hospital and †Ankara Oncology Education and Research Hospital, Ankara, Turkey C arcinoma of the breast is the most common site-specific cancer in women and is one of the leading causes of death among women. Concomitant coronary artery disease with breast carcinoma is not an infrequent clinical entity. In the literature, there are reports of simultaneous surgical therapy for both coronary artery disease and breast carcinoma. Median thoracotomy for coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) could be a risk for concomitant medially localized breast carcinoma, as surgical borders within the mass of the breast carcinoma would spread tumour cells throughout the area. We present the case of a patient with breast carcinoma and cancerous infiltration along the thoracotomy incision of a CABG.

Background: Breast cancer is formed of a neoplastic component (epithelial) and a non-neoplastic component (stroma). Stromal- stromal and tumor- stromal interactions have been shown in the regulation of cancer cell growth, metastatic capacity and outcome of treatment. Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) are a component of tumor stroma reactionsand are considered as an important ...

Objective(s): A growing body of evidence indicates that rhomboid domain containing 1 (RHBDD1) plays an important role in a variety of physiological and pathological processes, including tumorigenesis. We aimed to determine the function of RHBDD1 in breast cancer cells. Materials and Methods: In this study, we used the Oncomine™ database to determine the expression patterns of RHBDD1 in normal a...
